Carrion spirits

Carrion spirits are tiny black entities gathering into large masses. They inhabit carrions and can sense when an animal or a person is close to death, and will thus gather around it waiting for its death. For that reason, many cultures hold the belief that they bring death, when in actuality, they’re pretty much harmless and can be easily scared away (for a moment at least…).
